Accumulation: How Much Is Enough? – Luke 12:13-34 (January 24)

Producer: Ryan Miller
Set-up:
Speaker: Colter Bloxom
Worship Leader:

Description:
Every commercial and ad that we see is designed to create dissatisfaction in our lives. The things that we own aren’t the newest or best and our culture tells us that if we could just purchase the bright, shiny My Life Is Perfect 3000 we would be content. That is, until the My Life Is Perfect 4000 comes out and the cycle starts all over again. How much stuff is enough? Can accumulating possessions provide satisfaction in life? We’ll explore what Jesus had to say about the difference between what we want and what we need and how to find contentment.

Ownership: Who Really Owns My Stuff? (January 17)

Speaker: Josh Schaa
Producers: Ryan Miller
Set-up: TBA
Worship Leader: TBA

Description:
One of the first words that children learn is “mine”. They may not understand the concept of ownership yet but they certainly have a desire to own things. With kids it’s often everything. We like to think that we grow out of that mentality but if we’re honest we’re still not very good at sharing or giving – which are parents try to teach us as soon as we start saying “mine”. How can we overcome our obsession with ownership and begin to view our possessions as gifts from God who owns everything? Finding financial freedom is hopeless until we begin to change our minds about what is really ours.
