Movement into Life




Here is the description of the fourth week of our Movement series:

Everyone wants to live. It is basic human nature. The desire triggers the fight or flight rush of adrenaline when we sense danger - this desire drives much of who we are. When someone is killed we mourn for the loss of life. When murder is done we punish the perpetrator. When someone takes their own live we are confused and saddened. We all desperately want to live, but are we living lives that are worth living? Are we fully alive? Do we really know what it means to be human - or more importantly - what it means to be made in the image of God? When Jesus was on earth he told us that he was where true life was found and that to find life we first had to die. In the death to the old, selfish way of life we discover the freedom in the life lived for God and for others. Jesus came to offer us true life, abundant life, and this is exactly what we should be offering to the world around. As we live lives that are fully alive we show the truth that others can live this same way to, both now and in eternity.
