Nehemiah had every reason on earth to lose hope and give up, but he didn’t. He trusted God and had access to every resource in heaven to combat his earthly crises. Nehemiah persevered to become one of the Bible’s greatest leaders.

Our jobs should be about much more than just getting a paycheck. Let’s explore how God has called us to serve him in specific ways through our occupations by looking at Nehemiah’s role in service of the King.

First Job – being the boss of some corporation and showing people using the exact knowledge or skills they were taught in class (ie Colter figuring out an economics problem, Caty's entire company depending on her ability to figure out a complex math problem, Ryan only being able to get a deal through because he is able to discuss the positive and negative influences on Oscar Wilde or Erica only being able to accomplish her task because she knows the exact ramifications of presidential decisions made during WWI & WWII)
