Embracing the Adventure (April 25)

Description: We spend a lot of time in our lives seeking to discover God’s will for us. Often times this is a future overarching will instead of a desire to seek God’s leading in our life right now. The truth is most of us need to forget about “God’s will for our life” in some distant future and instead embrace the Holy Spirit’s leading today. What does this mean and how does this work? How can we learn to identify the spirit’s leading in our lives and follow him into the adventure that God has for us today and in the future?

Chase the Goose
Series Description: Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit: An Geadh-Glas, or ‘the Wild Goose.’ The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the Spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him. But most of us and most churches have neglected the Holy Spirit. Join us as we explore the truth about the forgotten God and we learn to live the adventure of a spirit-led life.

If Kati is singing this week Flyleaf's song "Arise" could be a good closer or mediation song maybe. Lyrics: http://www.metrolyrics.com/arise-lyrics-flyleaf.html
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS2nwY9MFeQ
The main part is the ending that says:
Arise and be, all that you dreamed, all that you dreamed.
It also has a great melody line.
